FAMOUS FOR : Temples in the form of chariots

HISTORY: These monuments built by Pallava kings in the 7^th and the 8^th century. Mahabalipuram has situated in Tamil Nadu 58 km from the capital Chennai. The temple consists of 40 monuments and open-air bas relief in the world. Chariots, Mandapas are the parts of this monument. These monuments described ancient south architecture and carvings. In 1984 UNESCO declared these monuments as world heritage.
