Chandela Culture
HISTORY: The Khajuraho Group of Monuments was attributed
to the Chandela dynasty which is a matter of glory. These monuments located in
Madhya Pradesh with sovereignty and culture. Parts of monuments that have
survived belong to the Hindu and Jain religious practices which include their
sculpture and architect. Earlier these monuments consist of 86 temples and now
only 22 temples have survived. UNESCO declared these monuments as world
heritage in 1982.
